La Yumba

¡Hola!

I've been a fan of Tango for a long time. I did this piece with 2 influences. First one listening to some interviews of one of my favourites artists of all times, the amazing Carlos Nine and the second the great song 'La Yumba' from Osvaldo Pugliese.
I used Gouache and colour pencils for this piece.
Hope you like it!
¡Pura Vida!

Also I've been doing some girls sketches with crayons and markers on my Instagram and there are also available on my store here https://www.luisgadea.com/shop/ so keep an eye if you want some originals. Here 2 samples:

Week on Sketchbook

Having fun with my ''Toned'' sketchbook. I dig the fact that white is not the base colour and I just use it as a light kind of thing. I normally use it as a one side contour line.

The second image is one week of doodles during the night on my normal sketchbook. (not counting the first image of that sequence which is digital ).

Acrylics and water-colour

Sunday night I took it to use the acrylics a friend gave me as a present. I used them for the shirt and the background of the illustration, on the other hand the face has bits of water-colour, the blacks are Sharpie marker and some Copic marker here and there. I will tried to do a few and frame them to see if someone seems interest.

One week of new Year

Happy New Year! This is going fast!!! I don't want to start posting new sketches without finishing uploading all the scanning I did the last days of 2012. I added some colors to some of them.
On these ones you can see some shapes studies, I'm a big fan of '' distortion'', or at least I try.

As always some inspiration images: Image 1 Image 2
